The Optically Isolated Modulator A7860/HCPL-7860/HCPL-786J. In power inverters, this isolated modulator enables for direct measurement of motor phase currents. The modulator output is transferred across the isolation barrier via the drivers. 

The A7860/HCPL-7860/HCPL-786J Isolated Modulator (optocoupler with 3750 VRMS dielectric withstand voltage rating) uses a SigmaDelta () over-sampling modulator to convert a low-bandwidth analogue input into a high-speed one-bit data stream. High noise margins and strong immunity to isolation-mode transients are provided by this modulation. The on-chip sampling clock and modulator data are encoded and transferred beyond the isolation border, where they are recovered and decoded into independent high-speed clock and data channels.
