Description
The Semiconductor Curve Tracer Shield for Arduino can be used to plot I-V characteristics curves of resistors, diodes, LEDs, NPN and N-MOS transistors on an oscilloscope, a PC, or a smartphone over Bluetooth.
The relationship between the voltage applied across an electrical device and the current flowing through it is represented graphically by an I-V curve (short for 'current-voltage characteristic curve'). It's one of the most common ways to figure out how an electrical component in a circuit works. The shape and features of the curve can also be used to extract key properties of electronic devices, giving you a better understanding of how they work.
