It combines trueCMOS's low power consumption with the same high-speed LSTTL capabilities.The inputs of this device are prioritised such that only the highest order data line is encoded. A four lineBCD output is produced after encoding nine input lines. The nine data lines must all be at a high logic level in order for zero to be encoded, hence the implied decimal zero condition doesn't require any input conditions. At the low logic level, all data inputs and outputs are operational. Protection circuits against static discharge and transient excess voltage are present on every input.
