Description
The highly integrated current mode PWM control IC OB2269AP is designed for high performance, low standby power, and cost-effective offline fly-back converter applications with power levels above 20W. PWM switching frequency can be externally programmed and is reduced to a small range during regular operation. To reduce switching loss, the IC runs in extended "burst mode" in no load or low load conditions. Higher conversion efficiency and lower standby power are therefore attained. With the OB2268/9, VDD's low startup current and low operational current help to create a dependable power on startup design. Thus, a big-value resistor could be utilized in the startup circuit to reduce standby power. Internal slope correction enhances the stability of the system's significant signal and lowers the possibility of sub-harmonic oscillation at a high PWM duty cycle.
